I usually just add an nfs storage through vsphere client under configuration - storage instead of adding it manually. Dont know if that would make any difference though.
But usually when I get these messages it's rather easy. It usually means what it says; the esxi host cant access the nas share, most likely due to access failure or ip/dns errors. Try pinging the nas from the shell just to make sure you see it. After that mane sure to open for nfs access on the shared folder (should be a separate option in the buffalo config meny if I remember correctly) and also make sure that guest access is enabled on the share.
To test that the settings are correct, try accessing the share manually from the shell and create a folder and a file. If that works then ghetto will as well.
That usually does the trick. Good luck!
